  • Massage can help reduce stress, relieve muscle tension, quicker injury/ surgery recovery time, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, and promote overall relaxation and well-being.

  • You can undress to your comfort level. The Therapist will use draping techniques to ensure privacy at all times during the session. Some choose to remove clothing except for undergarments and some remove all clothing.

  • To work the tension out of your body, pressure must be applied in some manor. Because of that, sensitivity in certain spots can be slightly uncomfortable but it should never be excessively painful. Always communicate with your therapist about pressure preferences throughout your session if need be.

  • It depends on your needs and we can discuss this after your session together to come up with a plan that fits your lifestyle best.

  • It's best to avoid eating a heavy meal right before your session. A light snack is okay if needed and make sure you hydrate plenty both before and after!

  • Absolutely, massage can be beneficial for conditions like lower back pain, migraines arthritis, and genetic conditions. However massage very much should be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

  • Tipping etiquette in massage therapy varies, and at Integrated Health, we respect that everyone has different financial circumstances. That’s why we believe tipping is entirely optional and never expected. Our prices are set to reflect the full value of your service without hidden fees or à la carte pricing. We want you to feel confident knowing that our providers are fairly compensated when at Integrated Health, so there’s no pressure or obligation to leave gratuity.

  • It's up to you! Some clients prefer to relax in silence, while others enjoy light conversation. Your therapist will follow your lead every time.

  • It's best to wait until you’re feeling better, as massage can sometimes make symptoms worse by increasing the circulation. This will help spread the bad guys around in this scenario. It also prevents spreading illness to your therapist who is taking care of many other people in addition to yourself.

  • As a Rochester, New York small business, we do not accept insurance. We can however, provide you with the correct documentation your insurance provider requires for you to submit for direct reimbursement, if applicable.
